Accessible France
Getting There
From a transport point of view, France is, from the UK, the most accessible holiday destination of all. You can get to France by air, sea, or rail and it is even true to say that, thanks to the Eurotunnel, it is one of the only country you can get to (together with Belgium), from Great Britain, without even having to leave your vehicle!
France by Air…
At Bespoke France, we make quality and customer service our priority. We are able to offer a range of flights, from scheduled airlines, with British Airways, our preferred partner, to no frills airlines to enable you to benefit from the best price available, and fly from your local airport. We will also ensure that your needs and requirements are being met, from arranging for extra help at the departure airport, to making your flight as comfortable as we can. We will of course plan for the help needed on arrival at your destination and can arrange adapted transfers through a number of French transport companies we know we can rely on.
France by Sea…
Brittany Ferries offer crossings to 4 main French harbours: Roscoff, Cherbourg, St Malo and Caen. You have the option to travel by day and relax… your holiday has already started! On the other hand, you might prefer to travel comfortably in your own cabin and spend the night on board… Wake up! "Bonjour la France!"
P&O Ferries and Sea France will enable you to sail from Dover to Calais in a couple of hours. All these crossing options can easily be mixed and matched when looking at putting your package together. It is also a much enjoyed option for those of you who are willing to embark on a self-drive package, which we will plan and organise to the last detail.
Condor Ferries also offer a range of crossings to St Malo and Cherbourg, with the opportunity to stop in Jersey or Guernsey for a spot of duty-free shopping and a brief tast of the British Isles!
LD Lines will make it easy for you to reach the coast of Normandy or even Northern Spain, which means you will reach France Basque country, just over the border, within a couple of hours, which then opens a world of opportunities for exploring southern France at your leisure.
Rental Car
We are able to arrange for any type of vehicle, whether it needs to be specifically adapted or not, to be available to you on arrival. Again, we do work with a range of rental car partners who will help us to find the vehicle you need so that you can fully enjoy your drive on peaceful French ways.
France by Rail…
Whether you are willing to take your own vehicle to France or you would rather leave the navigating to our business partners, the rail network in France is extremely well developed and it is simple for us to organise adapted transfers as required on arrival and departure at each of your destination should you decide to go and explore by rail.
The Eurotunnel enables you to cross the Channel in about 30 minutes and although the terminals on either side have a range of restaurants and shops to keep you busy and entertain while you are waiting to embark, this option also enables you to remain in your car should you wish to, from departure to arrival at your destination. Shuttles are available regularly throughout the day and night. Eurotunnel represents an affordable and quick way to get to France.
On the other hand, you might just prefer to sit back and relax in the comfort of Eurostar Premier or standard carriages, where comfort is still optimum and will satisfy the needs of travellers on a budget. From London St Pancras International station, Eurostar will enable you to reach Paris in 2h15, Lille in the north of France in 1h20 and, throughout July to September, Avignon in the south east in 5h50.
